Best Assam Tea ever!

Sad day. I’m on my last two teabags of this amazing Magnificant Mile Assam from Brook37 Tea Atelier. This is one of the best Assam teas I’ve ever had. It has a lot of characteristics of traditional Assams but it’s a little softer and less brisk but also has more flavor notes if that makes sense. It’s an exceptionally smooth cup also. I wish I could get more of this! I’ll be keeping my eye out on Brook37’s site to see if they stock any more Assam teas anytime soon.

One of the smoothest tea

I’ve been enjoying this Magnificent Mile Assam from Brook37 Tea Atelier for a few days now and it’s now in one of my top five Assams! It’s woody and malty and brisk without any astringency, even steeped at 200 for 5 minutes. This is probably one of the smoothest Assams I’ve had and it’s interesting to me how a tea can be simultaneously robust and strong without being bitter. It’s absolutely delicious with milk.

My kind of Tea

Steeped a cup of Brook37 Magnificent Mile to help welcome the weekend. Perfect with or without a drop of honey, this is one I reach for often. It’s a light, brisk Assam that pairs well with sweets or savories, or stands strong all on its own for those who don’t snack as much as I do. This is one tea I always want to have in my cupboard!

magnificence by a mile

As a lover of Assam tea, Im always on the lookout for a quality Assam with just the right amount of malt flavor with the mild woody notes and caramel finish. So when I discovered Magnificent Mile, Broook37s only Assam offering, I thought I would try it. Not fully expecting to enjoy it as much as I did. After all, this was earlier in 2023 when I was starting to delve into Brook 37s teas and hadnt yet become a tried and true believer in the quality and elegance of this brand like I am today. Today Im just a die hard supporter. This Assam tea is cultivated in upper Assam with rolled and twisted orthodox golden tips that is offered in biodegradable tea bags. Tea bags that allow the leaves to fully unfurl and steep to offer one of the best quality Assam teas out there. This lovely magical brew steeps to a beautiful caramel brown color and its malt is very apparent from your first sip. It is a rich silky tea that represents its name well, with the malt mingling nicely with undertones of the woody notes and finishing with a nice caramel like finish. The tea is more delicate than other Assam blends I have tried, but it did hold up to the addition of milk and sugar. However I found my preference leaned towards enjoying the blend on its own where every sip can be truly appreciated. This is a cup that you want to sip slowly and enjoy. From its truly outstanding packaging to its high end quality, this is a tea that defines magnificence by a mile.

A beautiful tea deserves a beautiful cup

The fog here has finally lifted, and now its time to help lift the fog in my brain. Trying a new to me tea from Brook37 Tea Atelier seems the way to go. Magnificient Mile is a very nice example of what good tea from Assam tastes like. Its got a nice malty flavour with a somewhat caramel aftertaste to me. I tasted plain and it was very nice, but a bit of sugar and milk made it perfect to me, as helping to accentuate the existing malt and caramel notes. A beautiful tea deserves a beautiful cup, and Pembroke by Aynsley fits that bill.
