Magnifique! True chefs kiss.

I was a fan of the original multi award winning Moonlight Stroll offered by Brook37. Moonlight Stroll Reserve 2024, a limited stock offering is a light and invigorating blend with floral notes with a sweeter fruity taste. I love everything about this tea. I didn’t think it was possible to improve upon near perfection from the original Moonlight Stroll blend. But I actually love the reserve blend even more. The quality of leaves is apparent as soon as you open the packet. Full velvety leaves and silvery buds offer a look into what a high quality tea truly is and in fact represents what sets Brook37 apart from other companies. The aroma of Moonlight Stroll 2024 Reserve emits a clean and earthy, but sweet smelling aroma. And once steeped emits a beautiful honey champagne color brew with a silky smooth taste with notes of stone fruit followed by hints of nutty muscatel and a light floral finish. Brook37 mentions hints of mango, but I also picked up a light but succulent peach nectar notes followed by the faintest light cherry flavor. The mouth feel on this is superb with a rich velvety aftertaste. If one has never experienced the delights of a Darjeeling and why it is considered the champagne of teas, then Moonlight Stroll 2024 Reserve from Brook37 is the perfect opportunity to find out why. This is a tea to sip and savor, as it is simply exquisite.

Sourcing Story

This garden is one of the most esteemed tea estates of Darjeeling and qualitatively listed amongst the top of the Darjeeling Estates with a loyal fan-following worldwide. The garden spans across 350 hectares, but this small batch of rare teas came in only 10 lbs that was solely sold to Brook37.

Plucking of Moonlight Stroll is a rare tea plucking ritual that takes place only on full moon nights, with the help of manmade torches, accompanied by ceremony of traditional singing and dancing. The ceremony usually starts when the moon is the brightest in the evening and continues till midnight. The tea is protected from sunlight after plucking to ensure that the tea’s aroma and consistency is not altered.
