Chocolate Hangover

In these times of stress, I decided my cup needed 2 tea bags because I will take any extra help I can get managing stress, alleviating fatigue, and enhancing brain functions. As I steeped 2 bags, the aroma was bit herby and the brew was golden brown. After a few sips I could detect the notes of Ashwagandha and Turmeric. Spicy notes of cinnamon and pepper were present and mingled nicely with the chocolate flavors. Overall it was a pleasant cup that took my mind off of today's troubles and gave me a moment to focus on the tea and gratitude of trying another unique blend from Brook 37.

It was so interesting, it was sweet and spicy but it went so well together! I loved the chocolate and ginger flavor! I've never had a chocolate tea quite like this one before, so this was such a fun treat to try and I really liked the health benefits this one has in it from some of the ingredients. I also tried this one with a splash of cream and that made it even more delicious!

I really enjoy so many Brook37 teas. Although I am not that fond of chocolate teas (but love chocolate), I decided to give Brainglow Cacao a try. I'm pleased that I did. It reminded me of a chocolate spice cake my mother bakes. The tea is ginger and cinnamon forward giving me a warm and tingly feeling. I understand why it's described as an energizing.

Brooks37, BrainGlow Cocao Tea arrived nicely packaged. The tea is pre portioned in pyramid tea bags. Apon opening the package the wonderful aroma was sweet and spicy. I prepared the tea with a single tea bag in 8oz of water, steeped for 5 minutes. I did not add any additional elements, such as milk, honey, etc. As I wanted to taste the true flavors of the tea.
Dark chocolate with a hearty spice. Not the kind of spice you get in fall teas. My first sip was enveloped with a sweet and peppery taste. With additional tasting the chocolate had a bit of a roasted flavor and the spicy black pepper has a great finish with a touch of cinnamon and hint of tangy licorice.

BrainGlow Cocao is my first experience with Brooks37. The ingredients, Ashwaganda and Rhodiola Rosea, peaked my interest. I was surprised by how prominent the black pepper is. But, it is well balanced by the chocolate and cinnamon. I love chocolate teas! This one is a great quality, tasty chocolate tea.

Note: my last sip was after the cup ran cold. I will always drink it hot, as the flavor is not as enjoyable cold.
